Usual Eye Color: EverPurple 039 (I think)

Additional Info: Charlie is my fruits-y girl. She loves bright colors and is constantly changing her hair color. She loves kids, which is a good thing in this house since there are so many dolls younger than her. Charlie is happy-go-lucky and always tries to have a good time.

Charlie is one of those that I had wanted for 2-3 years before I bit the bullet and purchased her from Luts.

She can be seen modeling clothing for SD/SD13 girls.

Sad news…

..from the Etsy world. Unfortunately, Etsy has basically done away with the actual forums as we knew them. Most people have moved to an offsite forum (unofficialetsyforums.com) and it seems to be a great community of people. This is not the sad news… oh, how I wish it were..

A well-respected and loved member of Etsy had a tragedy in her personal life. All of the details can be read here.

Much to my amazement, I have seen the community of Etsy members who loved and respected her band together to create an amazing fundraiser for her family in this time of need. Members have been donating items from their various shops for 100% of the sales to be donated to the family. All items feature free shipping, and there are a ton of fantastic items!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family daily in their time of sorrow.

Meet Our Models – Kyoshi (SoulDoll Paris)

Size: 60cm / SD13 Boy

Age: Mid-Late 20’s

Sex: Male

Usual Wig Color: Blonde

Usual Eye Color: Souldoll Defaults (Green & Blue)

Additional Info: Kyoshi is one of the oldest in the crew. He looks after the little ones and gets along well with everyone. He’s extremely easy going & laid-back. When Lily first stumbled in, Kyoshi took a liking to her right away and they had a bit of a fling for a while. Unfortunately, Lily decided to move on and no longer lives with us anymore.

Kyoshi was the first doll I ever purchased. I was able to purchase him at Anime Central in 2005 (when it was extremely rare to find a BJD dealer at a con!), and started making him clothes that same day. Yes, I am one of the odd ones who brought my sewing machine to the convention. Thank goodness I did, or he would have been naked/wearing a toga for the con! ^.~

Kyoshi is the only big guy (60cm) currently in the house, and he is a great model for our SD13-size boy clothes.

Meet Our Models – Ellie (Volks Jun Tachibana)

As the start of our introductory series to meet the models of Resin Melody, Ellie was the one that started it all.

Mold/Company: Volks Jun Tachibana
Size: SD13 Large Bust / 60cm
Age: Mid-Late 20’s
Gender: Female
Usual Wig Color: Varies (Constantly changing)
Usual Eye Color: DropRops Gradation Purple
Additional Info: Ellie is the oldest female in the house. She’s spoiled rotten (but not a spoiled brat!). She loves taking care of the little ones. She, like Kyoshi, is extremely easy going & laid-back. She loves to spend time with her little sisters Arianna and Chiyo, and loves to do things that make them happy. She’s just as comfy in jeans & a hoodie as she is all dressed up.

I first saw her in HauteDoll magazine when she was released back in 2004, but could not justify spending so much on “just a doll” – little did I know, as soon as I bought one, I was hooked.

Fast forward to 2008, and I still absolutely loved Jun T. Regardless of the other dolls I had at the time, I still fell for her every time I saw her. I knew I had to have her.

I was fortunate enough to find her on the Den of Angels marketplace, and have loved having her ever since.

She can be seen modeling clothes for SD / SD13 Girls.

Descriptions & Colors

When I am writing descriptions, I always find it difficult to remember alternative color names to the standard ROYGBIV (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet), Brown, Black, & White.

While browsing the Unofficial Etsy Forums, I came across a post with synonyms of other colors. I thought this information was great and decided to share. As I come across new synonyms, I will be sure to add them to the list. If you have any to share, feel free to leave a comment! 🙂
