Previous Loves – Kohana

Kohana was an OrientDoll So Ji. She was my 2nd doll, and way smaller than I had anticipated!

She was purchased on the second-hand market, and was super adorable.

Unfortunately, I was not thrilled with her posing abilities so I did not do a whole lot with her. She was also very difficult to sew for due to her size.

Volks Mamu

Previous Loves – Brownie

I absolutely fell in love with Volks Yo-Tenshi Mamu when she was originally released. Unfortunately, she was nearly impossible to obtain without paying a very high mark up, and was just out of my price range.

Volks then released a Sweet Dream version and I was fortunate enough to find one for sale on the secondary market. <3

Brownie was on the angel body, and while I normally had her as a girl, she made such an adorable boy as well.

As much as I loved the sweet dream Mamu, I think I would like to eventually get an original YoTenshi Mamu with the open eyes.

Previous Loves – Dante

A friend of mine and I had decided to split a Too & Bee-A set from Dream of Doll a few years ago. She wanted the Bee-A so I ended up with the Too.

I have to admit – I was not thrilled about getting the Too. I am much more interested in girl dolls and took him begrudgingly. Honestly enough, he became one of my favorite dolls. Unfortunately, I sold him before I realized it.

He was also the first doll I did a faceup on. It was very basic, but a lot of fun. 🙂

At this point, though, I will not be getting another one. I did not have a good experience with Dream of Doll right after I received my Too.

You see, 2 days after I received him, I woke up in the morning to his hand laying on the floor – the resin bar in his wrist had broken. It took many pictures, nearly 4 weeks, and a Korean-speaking friend before I even got a response. It took another month before I got a replacement hand, and the hands were a completely different color!

For a company to have that terrible of customer service – I cannot support them. So even though buying a doll second-hand is purchasing from somebody else – that would still be supporting them in my opinion.

The issues aside – I do love the Too sculpt. And I have been on the hunt for a little while for a replacement. So cute!

Luts Cutie Delf Cory

Previous Loves – Hanna

I have decided to start a series of posts showcasing dolls I have previously owned & loved before.

Hanna was a modded Sleeping Cutie Delf Cory by Luts. She is one that I go back & forth on whether or not I would buy her back if I saw her for sale.

Cutie Delfs were Luts’ original tiny dolls before the Honey Delfs. They had a one-piece, genderless (“Angel”) torso and were single jointed. There were only 2 different face sculpts made – Mary and Cory.

They were very cute, child-like sculpts with chubby little bodies. <3 So cute!
