We’ve Moved (Again)!

So I seem to have a wonderful habit of moving approximately every 2 years.. Normally, though, the move is just across town. This time, we’ve moved 400 miles northwest from the Chicago area to Minnesota!

I got a new job in March (yep, that’s why the silence!) working for a high school student exchange organization (International Experience). I’m absolutely LOVING it! Now we just need to finish placing our incoming students for the fall…

I’m really hoping that once things calm down a bit, I’ll be able to get back into sewing more creations and customizing dolls. I have a number of new purchases that need to be painted and even some I will be customizing for sale. So many fun things to do, but real life must come first… 🙁 (I can’t wait to be done with our move!)

Previous Loves – Jasmine

Back in summer of 2006, DollZone had released their new 1/4 size dolls. My husband, being the wonderful guy he is, offered to get me a Felian for Christmas. <3

Unfortunately, neither one of us knew it was going to take so long to get her!

I got so impatient with waiting that I broke down and bought a gorgeous girl that was up on ebay for a fabulous price. That girl was a fantastic SoulDoll SoulKid Harang girl.

Little did I know they would both arrive the same day!

Jasmine arrived in January 2007 (I think). She has such a sweet face, and I was so enamored with her. 😀

Unfortunately, I was not thrilled with her posing.

When I decided to sell her, I was delighted a friend came forward and expressed interest in her. She now goes by Mina and lives nearby.

Mitsuwa Meetup Feb 21 – ChitownDollz

ChitownDollz had a meetup on February 21. I wasn’t able to make it until later in the evening, so I think I missed a bunch of people who were there earlier.

I was so happy I went! There were a few people there who are returning to the hobby after several years of little to no activity. 😀

There were only a few dolls left when I got there, so there aren’t too many pictures this time…

We’ll be at KaroshiCon!

We’ll be at KaroshiCon this year in the Artist Alley. We’re hoping to get a panel as well (hosted by ChitownDollz), but at the very least, come see us in the alley!

KaroshiCon is a FREE anime convention located at Northern Illinois University (NIU). Find out more, pre-register, and make plans to spend the day with us here!

We can’t wait to kick off our convention season with such a great event.
