Vote for Pepsi Refresh Project!

I just started following Our Sweet Creations on Twitter, and she linked to a fantastic Pepsi Refresh Project. The project aims to implement a music therapy program at their local Jr/Sr high school. It sounds like it will be a fantastic program, and one that should be voted for! So go vote: http://www.refresheverything.com/wacomusictherapy#

Before I got into BJD and sewing for them, I was very heavily involved in music. Having played violin since I was 6, tenor sax from 4th grade, hand bells since 5th grade and various instruments throughout my schooling, music is a huge part of my life! Unfortunately, about 10 years ago, due to various medical reasons, I had to stop playing most of the instruments I love.

I have also done quite a bit of work with early childhood special education classes – and loved every minute of it! The kids are fantastic and so much fun!

Sorry – didn’t mean to get into so much about me, but seriously – go vote! The kids deserve it!

Acen is in 17 Days!

Acen is coming up in 17 days, which leaves me with 16 days to get ready! GAH! o.O These are going to be a couple of crazy/hectic weeks coming up!

Luckily, I have items in each of the categories done – just not as many as I would like (which is why they are not crossed off). And not all of the faceups are actually for Acen. I would like to get them done by then, but it isn’t the end of the world if they are completed the weekend after.

I am, however, really excited for some of the shirts – the yo-size hoodie-vests are turning out so adorable! Hoping to be able to post some pics soon. 🙂

Swap Meet 4/30/2011

We attended a swap meet on Saturday, 4/30/2011 at Julie’s house. We had a great time! It was fun to see everyone who was able to make it and meet new people.

Unfortunately, when we go to these types of meets, we get so caught up catching up with everyone, that the taking of pictures is forgotten. 🙁

There are, however, some fantastic pictures of the meet on the Dairyland BJD forum! Go check them out and enjoy. 🙂

Shop Fixed!

It was recently brought to our attention that there was an issue with our site and the shop.

Thank you to those who notified us of these issues! We were able to get them all resolved, so the shop is currently up & running correctly and there are no more pesky “Page not found” errors.
