I just started following Our Sweet Creations on Twitter, and she linked to a fantastic Pepsi Refresh Project. The project aims to implement a music therapy program at their local Jr/Sr high school. Before I got into BJD and sewing for them, I was very heavily involved in music. Having played violin since I was 6, tenor sax from 4th grade, hand bells since 5th grade and various instruments throughout my schooling, music is a huge part of my life! Unfortunately, about 10 years ago, due to various medical reasons, I had to stop playing most of the instruments I love.
I have also done quite a bit of work with early childhood special education classes – and loved every minute of it! The kids are fantastic and so much fun!
Sorry – didn’t mean to get into so much about me, but seriously – go vote! The kids deserve it!
