A few of us from ChitownDollz will be available all day at the Naperville Doll Show on Sunday, June 8, 2014 – come join us!

What: Naperville Doll Show
Date: Sunday, June 8, 2014
Time: 9am – 3pm
Where: Marriott Hotel, 1801 N. Naper Blvd, Naperville, IL
Cost: $5/person

While this is primarily an antique doll and teddy bear show, there are a number of items available that are well suited to BJD. We love digging for eyes, wigs, shoes, and elastic. And if you sew – there’s TONS of great deals on antique and vintage fabrics and lace!

We will also have a number of items for sale – both handmade and company-made.

Resin Melody & Chitown Dollz Attending Naperville Doll Show

Resin Melody will be attending the Naperville Doll Show on Sunday, January 27.

We will be representing the ChitownDollz local doll group to promote awareness and celebrate new doll collectors with BJDs.

The doll show is located at:
The Marriott Hotel
1801 North Naper Blvd
Naperville, IL

The show runs from 9am – 3pm and has a $5 entrance fee.

Come to the show & check us out. We always love to chat with our old friends and meet new ones!

2012 Meet Up/Event Schedule

For 2012, I am going to be listing not only the large meet-ups/conventions, but also the smaller Chicago-area meet ups that Resin Melody will be attending. They will be posted on the “Schedule” page.

While we may or may not have sales items, it’s always fun to meet new people and see new dolls!

If meets are hosted at someone’s private residence, the location will be withheld, but a link to the appropriate forum for RSVPs will be included.

Most meet ups are posted on either ChitownDollz or Dairyland BJD forums. Feel free to join & meet us! We don’t bite. 😉

Looking forward to posting more events/meet ups for next year, and hopefully meeting new people as well.

KollisionCon 2011 – After Report

We had a fantastic time at KollisionCon 2011 and are finally recovered! Thank you to everyone who stopped by!

If you are just finding out about the BJD hobby, be sure to check out the links for the Dairyland BJD forum and the ChitownDollz forum.

Dairyland BJD is a forum primarily serving the Midwest. It started in Wisconsin and has since spread worldwide. Most members, however, reside in the Midwest.

ChitownDollz is a forum serving the Chicago-area. We might not chat on there as much as we’d like (most of us are on Dairyland and tend to chat there more), but we do post all of our Chicago-area meetups on Chitown.

We also met some new friends while participating in Artist Alley. 😀 We hope to see them at other conventions!

Feel free to check out Paradise Rose on Etsy. Lina makes the most adorable cupcake and sweets jewelry! She also makes the cutest bows, stars & lace brooch/hair accessories. Perfect for the sweet lolitas and mori girls out there.

Also check out Sweet Plushie Cake Creations on Etsy. Tasha makes the most awesome fleece hats out there! They are super cute and amazingly warm! She also does custom plushies, and her plushies are excellent quality! Don’t hesitate to contact her if you have something in mind. I’m sure she’ll be able to help you out!

As for Resin Melody‘s Etsy shop, we will be updating the shop with new items this week. Stay posted!

We handed out many, many business cards at Anime Central this past weekend, and I thought it might be a bit useful to go over some of the forum information for the 3 forums that were included on the back of my cards.

ChitownDollz BJD Forum – Chicago Based

 

    • This forum is a Chicago-based forum.

 

  • Chicago meetups are posted on this forum, but may not be posted on any others.

 

 

  • There is no age restriction – all ages welcome!

Dairyland BJD Forum – Midwest Forum

 

    • This forum is based out of Wisconsin and serves the Midwest

 

  • Dairyland is a sister-forum to ChitownDollz

Den of Angels Forum – International Forum

 

    • This forum is HUGE – it is, I believe, the largest community of ABJD collectors online.

 

  • There IS an age restriction – must be 13+

 

 

  • Registration is by invite-only at this time. They do open up general registration throughout the year – so keep an eye out for when that happens. 🙂

 

 

I know we spoke to quite a few potential doll owners who are just shy of 13, and I waned t to make sure they know that they are welcome on both Chitown and Dairyland.
